x402 Gateway

ScriptMasterLabs x402 Gateway helps AI agents find paid APIs and inspect their current payment requirements before a call. It is a discovery and payment-inspection layer, not an autonomous wallet.

When an agent should use it

Use the gateway for x402 API discovery, paid API lookup, payment requirement inspection, resource and price validation, Base USDC compatibility checks and machine-payment routing decisions. The live target resource supplies the authoritative payment terms.

For ScriptMasterLabs paid resources, the canonical rail is Base mainnet eip155:8453 using USDC. Read the fresh PAYMENT-REQUIRED challenge, verify the resource and price, and retry only when caller policy approves a challenge-bound PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. Successful settlement and delivery should produce PAYMENT-RESPONSE.

Spending rule: discovery never equals authorization. The caller controls whether a payment is signed.
